It was a pleasure to work in such a crisp environment, surrounded by beautiful items – Rolex, Cartier, Bell & Ross and of course, Omega. And what a busy shop – who knew how many people owned timepieces that required cleaning, spare parts and even traded-in for the latest model. One moral of the day, if you buy a masterpiece don’t tamper with it – even if you replace the strap can devalue a classic or make it worthless.

Our latest project – make my burgers look tasty and just as good as they are in the flesh (excuse the pun). Ten minutes later a mini studio was set-up in the restaurant, in full view of the clients and the session began. The patties, still sizzling, were then assembled with the top and bottom baps and relish added to create a typical ‘wannaburger‘ delight.

The rest of the shoot was variations on a theme – with Soda & Fries, with Cheese, with Relish …

All the time, I suspect the diners were waiting to see what was going to happen to the ’subject’; was the double cheese burger going to be on offer.

It goes without saying that it is all thanks to the individuals and busniesses that pay for there host professional or celebrity, for the day.

On the day, we photograph the teams with their celebrity player(s) and by late afternoon once the score cards are handed in and being counted, we had printed the four copies of the team, mounted the prints and presented them to the team captains, ready to give out with the day’s results.

A recent event organised by Fiona Hunt and Ashley Tait was hosted by Rhona McLeod and John Beattie – say no more – but two fabulous hosts who coaxed and cajouled guests to part with over £6000, in aid of Multiple Sclerosis.

As with graduation balls, there is no ‘attendance fee’ nor deposit required. However, we do make a donation of around 25% towards the charity. We just turn up well before the guests arrive, get our SPOT for the portrait session and take it from there. We also give everyone details and password to view their images.

Images are then posted online, usually with 24 hours and everyone who attended the event can recollect the evening, even catching some moments they may have missed.

Here it’s the Psychology graduates from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh celebrating a hard won degree at the stunning Balmoral Hotel, Princes Street.
